Reports 101

Overview

It is possible to print various reports from People, Activities, Operators and Facilities menus. To create a report, a list must first be generated by using the Lookup interface.

The Lookup interface varies depending on which menu you are looking at. For a Person Lookup the interface looks like the following:

Notice that you can lookup a Person by entering information into the ID and/or First Name, Last Name and Phone fields. You can also lookup a person by checking one or more or the available check boxes, in this case Student, Staff, Volunteer and/or Vendor. Once you have entered the appropriate selection criteria you can then click on the Find button to create a list of the matches. Note: If no lookup criteria is entered and the Find button is clicked, all records will be found.

The other menus have different lookup criteria but the procedure is the same.

Once you have a list, you are then ready to select which report you wish to generate. The available reports can be chosen in the Reports section of the screen under Select a Report. You may then choose how to sort the report under Sort Report By. Then you may choose a format under Select a Format. Then the report is generated when you click on Run Report. If you are using Firefox as a browser for the Mac computers the pdf reports are saved to the computer desktop. If you are using Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari browsers, then the report is displayed in the computers default pdf viewer.
